A Sky Forged in Fire

The Pulse GMT Enamel Sky Gold transforms time into a celestial composition. Its curved white gold dial is first hand-guillochéd in the Atelier Lucerne before being enriched with deep blue translucent enamel. Tiny gold paillons are individually placed by hand, creating a sky of stars suspended beneath the surface. Encased in solid 5N gold and powered by the Chronoswiss Manufacture Caliber C.6002, it combines refined craftsmanship with true GMT functionality. The result is a timepiece that is both technically purposeful and emotionally expressive.

Artisian handcraft

Hand Guilloché

Guilloché is a traditional technique, which engraves detailed, interwoven lines on surfaces, creating unique light patterns. Chronoswiss excels in this art, producing dials with precise, radiating designs using two main guilloché machines: the straight-line and rose engine. Despite the absence of manuals for over two centuries, Master-Guillocheurs have maintained their expertise through a deep understanding of these machines. Creating one of those complex dials takes several hours. Today, Chronoswiss's guilloché dials stand as both a tribute to and a celebration of this enduring craft, showcasing its timeless appeal with a modern twist.

Artisian Handcraft

Paillonné enamel

Paillonné enamel is one of the rarest and most demanding decorative techniques in watchmaking. Each dial begins with a curved, hand-guillochéd white gold base, engraved in the Chronoswiss Atelier Lucerne. Layer by layer, translucent enamel is applied and fired, building depth and intensity through a process that allows no margin for error. Once the perfect blue tone is achieved, tiny star-shaped gold paillons are individually placed by hand with microscopic precision. A final firing seals them beneath the enamel, creating the illusion of gold stars floating within the dial itself.

Complication

GMT

The Pulse GMT features a true dual-time display, allowing the wearer to track two time zones simultaneously. The central display shows local time, while the dedicated 24-hour subdial on the left indicates a second time zone, making it easy to distinguish between day and night. This intuitive layout ensures instant readability, whether traveling across continents or staying connected to home. Designed for modern mobility, the GMT function combines practicality with the distinctive architectural design of the Pulse collection.

Our Vision

The vision of the Pulse GMT Enamel Sky Gold traces back to the Chronoswiss Tora of the 1990s, one of the brand’s earliest interpretations of dual-time functionality. With this new creation, that legacy evolves into something more poetic. The Enamel Sky Gold transforms the idea of traveling through time zones into a celestial narrative. A deep blue sky, brought to life through paillonné enamel, becomes a metaphor for movement, distance and connection across the globe. It is a watch that connects two worlds: precise GMT functionality and the timeless fascination of the night sky.
